HTML Web Templates

The UC San Diego Web Templates are a comprehensive package that includes ready-to-use, XHTML-compliant Web page samples along with all corresponding graphics, content elements, and styles needed to create a standalone Web site utilizing your organization's Web server or hosting platform.

Before you begin...

Are you using Dreamweaver, Contribute, or a similar product to manage your Web site content?  You may want to consider leveraging the Campus Web Content Management System.  This system has templates built in and can make managing your Web site content easier.

Why use the templates?

UC San Diego's Web templates give Web developers across campus an easy way to build pages that have the UC San Diego branding and include the visual identity standards.

Who can use the templates?

The templates are intended for use by UCSD academic units and organizations. Requests for template modifications or new features should be sent to the Campus Web Office.

Note: If your Web info is intended for Blink or TritonLink, please contact Campus Web Office.

Coding Standards & Tested Browsers

All of the templates are coded using valid, semantic structure and valid CSS for presentation.

All of the templates have been tested for compatibility with A grade browsers including Internet Explorer 7 and above, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, and Opera.

Template Updates: Version 3

Like the UCSD campus Web site, the university’s Web templates are evolving. Template code and images may be updated periodically to make improvements, add new features, fix bugs, and ensure compliance with Web standards, and university policies and guidelines.
