Once we've agreed the CMS is a good fit for your website, we will provide you a questionnaire that jumpstarts the development of a Statement of Work (SOW). The SOW outlines the milestones of the project and clarifies who is responsible for the deliverables.
We will create a website shell. We will map a domain name to the website so users can access your site on the internet. The domain name format for a website is http://yoursitename.ucsd.edu/. Please note, we do not add "www" in front of the domain name. Your marketing material should only include the domain name under yoursitename.ucsd.edu.
Typically, clients provide us the content and we migrate it into the "website shell". We work with you to develop a taxonomy and fit the content into a hierarchy that makes sense.
Once the content has been migrated to the shell, we'll to train you on the functions of the CMS that are pertinent to your implementation. In-person and hands-on training will be conducted before the site is handed over to you to update.
We'll perform testing of the your Web site in the supported browsers and perform basic editing functions such as spell check.
We will assist in all aspects of the your Web site's initial deployment.
Once your site is deployed, you'll have full access to make updates. Of course, you can contact us if you have any questions.
