Website & client prerequisites
- Your site must be permanent. One-time events, notices, and other temporary items should be advertised on an existing website.
- You (or someone is your area) is committed to owning and updating the website on a regular basis.
- You agree to use the standard campus-wide templates.

Supported Browsers & Operating Systems
The following browsers are used to test Web sites managed in the CMS. These browsers make up 95% the website traffic to UCSD sites, according to Google Analytics.
- Internet Explorer 6 & above (Windows)
- Firefox 2 & 3 (Macintosh & Windows)
- Safari 2 & 3 (Macintosh & Windows)
- Display capable of 1024 x 768 resolution or higher
The following browsers are supported by the campus CMS.

- Firefox 2/3 on Mac OS X, Windows, and Linux
- Safari 3 on Mac OS X, Windows
- Safari 2 on Mac OS X (Safari 2 has limited support for the WYSIWYG)
- Display capable of 1024 x 768 resolution or higher
VPN Access
Clients who want to access the CMS off-campus can do so through the use of Virtual Private Network (VPN). Learn more about VPN.
